Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) Study Group Sponsored by NCMA Battlefield-Dulles Chapter 1 October 2011 – 19 November 2011
Do you have your certification for Federal Contracts? Industry recognized certification (CFCM) is provided through the National Contract Management Association. The CFCM certification is most appropriate for contracting professionals in both the public and private sectors who deal extensively with federal contracts and have a minimum of one year of experience. It validates your education, training, experience and your knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) through an examination consisting of 150 multiple choice questions. A ten week study group is being formed to prepare for the exam. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Register today to secure your seat in the study group.
Goal - To prepare participants to sit for the CFCM exam to be given on Saturday, 3 December 2011.
Your Commitment - Attendance at eight weeks of the study group sessions and completion of class assignments for each session is mandatory. Typically the assignments will include reading study guide sections and FAR citations; preparing three (3) thoughtful questions each week, participating in discussions and taking sample quizzes. How to Register - $50 registration fee (Refundable if in attendance a minimum of 6 sessions). Please register by emailing attached registration form to registrar@ncmabd.org . The first twenty registrants with payment will be accepted. Late registrants will be put on a waiting list and may be called prior to second class. Full refund will be provided for those who cancel three business days prior to the first class.
When - Every Saturday from 1 October 2011 to 19 November 2011 (eight weeks) between 12:30PM and 2:30PM. Class length may vary depending on material being covered during a specific session. First session will end at 3PM.

CFCM Application Required to Sit for the Exam– Applicants shall submit application to NCMA HQ with $150 fee and supporting documents. Application requirements are at least 80 continuing education credits and one year of work experience in Contract Management. Please access the NCMA website for further details and application at www.ncmahq.org/certification. We encourage you to complete the application prior to class. The application is good for one year.
Sitting for the Exam- The exam will be proctored by NCMA Battlefield-Dulles Chapter on 3 December 2011 ($50 exam fee for National). Exams are also administered on demand at Kryterion Learning Centers for a fee of $95. You must have an NCMA approved application before being allowed to schedule and sit for your exam.
