| I am so very proud to represent you once again for the 2011-2012 as your Chapter President. We had a very successful 2010-2011 full of some very exciting events, and this year is shaping up to top that! We once again have a solid educational packed year, and I hope that each and every one of you will take time out of your busy schedules to join us. Please being to mark your calendars now, as our events have been known to fill up fast!
We will continue to utilize our new conference facility in Chantilly (15000 Conference Center Drive Chantilly, VA 20151) for our monthly breakfast seminars. Our schedule of monthly seminars this year is as follows:

October 21, 2011 (8:30-10:30AM): FAR Part 12 (Commercial Contracting)
November 18, 2011(8:30-10:30AM):Construction Contracting
January 18, 2012 (8:30-10:30AM): Prime Contract Flowdowns
February 15, 2012:(8:30-10:30AM): Risk Mitigation
March 14, 2012 (8:30AM-4:30PM)-National Education Seminar: Topic: TBD
April 18, 2012 (8:30-11:30AM): Advanced Service Contract Act/Davis Bacon Act
May 16, 2012 (8:30-10:30AM):Cost Accounting Standards & Basis of Estimate (BOEs).
June 20, 2012 (8:30-10:30AM):-Advanced Intellectual Property
In addition to these meetings, we plan to continue to hold the lunch time webinars, and are looking to the membership to provide topic ideas and speakers. These were such a success this passed year, and we would love to continue offering this FREE to all BD members. Other featured events include CART Meetings (round table discussions) which will be held at STG, Inc. Facilities at 11710 Plaza America Drive Suite 1200 Reston, VA 20190. Here you can bring any contracting issues, and join fellow NCMA members to discuss over coffee and a light breakfast.
I hope that you are as excited as I am to kick off this year, and hopefully you find the topics as stimulating as we do! Our Monthly Board Meetings are on the First Tuesday each month, and this is open to the Chapter, so please contact me if you wish to attend via teleconference.
